2017 Undergraduate Leadership Scholarship

On April 19th, 2017 I was awarded by The George Washington University Center for Student Engagement the 2017 Joint Committee of Faculty and Students Scholarship for Undergraduate Leadership Development. This scholarship was presented to me as a student who has made outstanding contributions to the university community through my involvement and dedication. The scholarship is designed to recognize undergraduate students who have the potential to demonstrate exceptional contributions to student organizations and on campus activities. Some of the projects presented to be considered for the scholarship were the partnership between GW PorColombia and the Colombian Embassy in Washington DC, the ongoing conversations between GW’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) and the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation (IFC), and other projects developed while serving as a Student Association member and as a Resident Advisor for on-campus housing.

All of these projects were possible thanks to GW’s Center for Career Services by collaborating with international students, the Embassy of Colombia in Washington D.C by making the embassy’s partnership with GW PorColombia possible, and my mentors at the World Bank who guided me through the process of providing greater professional opportunities for our students
