During the summer of 2011, I went to Ècole Des Roches, a boarding school in Normandie, France. There were people from all around the world;what a very enriching experience! I enjoyed the fact of being forced all the time to speak the language since the “cheff de maison” spoke only in French, and she pushed everybody to try to do so. Teachers took us every second day to Paris and other villages in which we had activities to interact with the inhabitants,compelling us to keep practicing our French in real life situations and learning from the culture at the same time.
